International Young Carer Conference 2026 Program
Experience two days filled with inspiring talks, engaging workshops, and meaningful connections that help raise awareness and empower young carers worldwide.

Program Overview
The full conference program will be published on this site by mid July. Participants will be able to choose from more than 25 thematic presentation sessions and workshops with more than 110 individual contributions by young carers, researchers and practitioners.
Day One: Opening & Presentation
The first day of the conference will start at 10am with a guided poster tour and the opening plenary. After lunch you will visit 2 thematic presentation sessions and workshops or panels. With coffee breaks that allow informal exchange and catching up the day will end at 6pm.
There is an optional networking dinner in the evening.
Day Two: Plenary & Presentations
The second conference day will start at 9:30am with a plenary about loss & grief and young carers. There will also be 2 presentation sessions, lunch and coffee breaks. A closing plenary by young carers will end the day at around 5pm.

Opening Plenary
Date: October 21st

Join us for an inspiring keynote by Prof. Saul Becker to kick off the conference and set the tone for meaningful engagement.
Young Carers and Loss & Grief
Date: October 22nd
9:30am
Many young carers experience grieving and loss at some point in their caring responsibilities. A panel of experts and young carers will share inspiring insides.
105 oral presentations
Date: October 21st & 22nd
With presentations by researchers, young carer support workers and (former) young carers themselves. The IYCC 2026 will have a record amount of inspiring presentations for you to choose from.
