How your video will be used

Submitted stories are compiled into global highlights, which will be projected to delegates, experts, and policymakers at the IYCC 2026 Young Carers Conference in Berlin. Extracts may also be used in post-event advocacy materials to continuously raise awareness.
By taking part, you agree that your video will be shown during the opening plenary session of the conference. It may also be shared on the International Young Carers Conference LinkedIn and Instagram channels. Our goal is to increase the visibility of young carers worldwide.

Consent Notice: By sending us your video, you authorize the IYCC 2026 organizing partners to host, edit, and publicize your footage for non-commercial advocacy and event compilation purposes. If you are under 18, please ensure you have permission from a parent or legal guardian before submitting.

Before the main Berlin conference kicks off, join our dedicated pre-conference session designed exclusively for young carers 16+. This warm, welcoming space is your opportunity to settle in, meet peers from across the globe, and actively shape the key messages we will share with the world.

What will we do?

We’ll explore what being a young carer means to you. We’ll watch a short film, exchange perspectives and create individual collages reflecting how caring connects with our identities, interests and the world around us. Together, we’ll bring these collages into one collective artwork and prepare key messages to share at the conference’s closing plenary — giving young carers a voice in shaping the future. Afterwards, you’re welcome to join or observe the European Young Carers Working Group meeting.
